This is Desirae’s first year at Tusculum, and her first year advising The Pioneer Frontier. She finished her Ph.D. in creative nonfiction at Ohio University in 2004, before serving three years as a Harper Fellow at The University of Chicago. Her recent literary essays appear in Pleiades, Southern Humanities Review, and Lake Effect. She is also the nonfiction editor of The Tusculum Review.
